Gibson is proud to support legendary artist and guitarist Vince Gill and his 15th annual Vinny Pro-Celebrity Invitational. This 15th annual golf invitational takes place August 12-13, 2007 at Nashville Golf & Athletic Club in Brentwood, Tennessee.

The two-day event includes the Celebrity-Junior-Am—four amateurs, celebrity, and junior golfer—on Sunday, August 12, 2007, and the Pro-Celebrity-Am—four amateurs plus a PGA Tour professional and celebrity on Monday, August 13, 2007. The top 125 juniors from the National Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings in the state of Tennessee are also sent an invitation to play in The Vinny. The first 26 who RSVP are included in the tournament.

On August 12 at approximately at 9 a.m. on the driving range, Epiphone will donate 26 of its Epiphone guitars to the talented Tennessee youth who have been selected to play in this year’s event.

“Being able to show off the juniors at The Vinny, who not only play extremely well but know the rules and etiquette of the game, gives me great pleasure,” says Vince Gill. “Henry [Juszkiewicz] and Dave [Berryman] at Gibson have been extremely generous in supporting this event over the years, and that generosity goes a long way in providing our young generation of future musicians a chance to excel in music and sports.”

Vince Gill and 2007 Senior British Open Champion Tom Watson will present these special instruments to all of the Junior Vinny participants.

The Vinny has raised over 3.8 million dollars for junior golf programs throughout the state, including the First Tee program, Special Olympics golf, and Blind Golf programs. The Tennessee Golf Foundation administers the funds.
