Attention Shredders: Get Ready for Guitar Hero III!
Since its release in 2005, millions of real and wannabe shredders have been pinning their Rock Meters to the limit on RedOctane's insanely popular music video game Guitar Hero. In 2006, Guitar Hero-mania reached new heights with Guitar Hero II (not to mention a spin-off version called Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80s).

By utilizing the Gibson SG-shaped controller, players are literally part of the band, emulating the power chords, hammer-on and pull-offs on such classics by Guns N' Roses, KISS, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Boston, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, among others.

Check out the following interview, courtesy of 93X Rocks, where Ted Lange, one of Guitar Hero's producers, discusses the massive appeal of the revolutionary video game—and drops a few hints at what players can expect when RedOctane unleashes Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock in the fall (Les Paul fans, take note).
